>We're back home now and I just wanted to drop you this message to say thank you, first of all to you for your preparing our trip so well. And of course to everyone else at Alfmed: Nathalie, who was a great teacher, Nicolas, the ever-competent organisation wizard (the trip to Byrrh was great!) and Florence for taking us to the airport.
All three of us had a great time. I'll definitely recommend Alfmed to my colleagues.

Dear Florence Tracey and Nicolas,
Back at work and it seems like an age since I was at Alfmed, although I know it was only this time last week that we were sitting down to our rather fine picnic in the garden at Alfmed.
I just wanted to thankyou all for making our time at the school so rewarding and fun. We were blessed by having such a good group of fellow students and to have met so many new friends, some of whom have already been in contact and we are missing one another.
I would have no hesitation in recommending the school to my friends and colleagues.
We are back in Ceret at the end of October and hopefully we can pop in for a chat (in French of course).
In the meantime I would love to receive details of the DELF A2 paper and preparation course in December once things are firmed up. I think ultimately Tracey having invited me to the Party on the 13th December may make it worth while for me to put in the graft beforehand!!!( moi animaux de party-NON)!?

Depuis que nous sommes rentres chez nous, nous avons parle francais avec nos voisins et nos amis qui nous ont dit que nous avions fait des gros progres.

Thanks for a really good course & stay. I can still remember it all! (which is pretty good for me as I normally have a memory half-life of about 5 days!). The accommodation was great too - nice quiet area, close to everything with lots of shops , don’t need a car (or even a bicycle) to get about. Even after such a short time studying French, I felt a lot more comfortable getting about in the area - it was great being able to understand and speak enough to get by, and also read a little of the subtitles at Cine Rive Gauche !
The sweets didnt last long - about an hour or so after arriving back here - fantastic stuff! We are thinking how to make some of that Almond based sweet - ground almonds, sesame oil & honey might do it - please let me know if you have any ideas.

Hope things are going well down there in Perpignon, my French is still
coming on as they say but needs to improve faster. However at the moment we are dealing with a great deal of ex pats so that is a bit of pressure off
although I am practising as much as possible. Honest!!!?

> Basically, I thought the one and one and subsequent group session were good though on occasion a little too quick for me. Though i did make real progress, I think it could have been at a steadier pace as we seemed to move into new things more quickly than i would have anticipated. Though there was a goodmix of work i.e oral, written, I personally feel that i would have benefitted more if there had been more conversation sessions to put into practice what i had learnt. Having said that, I could not fault Marion who i thought was exellent. As I think with most English, my pronunciation left (and still leaves) a lot to be desired but she did her best to get me on the right track.
As they say, the 'proof is in the pudding'. So, as all my neighbours in Sorede said that I have made real progress, I must havewhich is obviously down to the course so i thank you all but in particular Marion. I just hope she did not find my sens of humour too weird. At least she had a bit of a giggle on occasion.
I am already thinking of returning next year for more so i am either a glutton for punishment or enjoyed it! Best regards...>> Chris Wall, USA, october 08
