Ø a method to learn French through rugby , called “le français dans la mêlée” (“French in the scrum”) developped by Australian teachers ALFMED, located in Perpignan, as a partner of this exceptional event, offers a French Intensive Program « Oui je parle Rugby » in October 2007 These 2 week program includes : - 30h of French Intensive Classes The Final, held on the 20th of October 2007, will be displayed on a wide screen during a special Apéro « Rugby Finale »
For the first time in its history, the Rugby World Cup is being organized in a French-speaking country. On the occasion of this exceptional event, France is launching the operation, “Oui je parle rugby” (“Yes, I speak rugby”), to promote the French language worldwide to some 450,000 foreign supporters.
Ø a film on TV5 Monde www.tv5.org presenting portraits showing 12 great foreign rugby players advancing in the French championship talking about their connection to the French language and culture.
- 1 Communication workshop/per week on the method «Le Français dans la mêlée » a tour Computer Lab
- 1 cultural outing per week in the historical Perpignan.
+ the “French survival kit” featuring 250 essential phrases to help foreign fans with their stays in France and to communicate with French people
