Since 2010 ALFMED offers this program in partnership with the association "Fort Dugommier de Collioure"
and Marc-André de Figuères.

This unique program in the south of France offers to our foreign students the possibility to contribute
within a group of French students to the valorisation of the cultural heritage of Collioure,
in an exeptional scope, at the border to theMediterranean Sea,
during the month of July.

From July 03th to July 31th


► Intensive French course over 2 weeks in Perpignan

French course from 9am to 12 am over two weeks.
Two cultural excursions with Elisabeth (Discovery of Perpignan, visit of the Palais des Rois des Majorque and visit of the wine cellar Byrrh)
Self-study lessons in the Computer language lab (Initiation and discovery of our language software, internet, unlimited access)
Accommodation in a double room in the student's residence of ALFMED
Transport to Collioure
>>> The French words that are related to restauration work will be instructed during these 2 weeks : tools and elements of the Fort


► 2 weeks in Collioure on the renovation site, supervided by the Director Marc-André de Figuères.

Restauration work at the fort DUGOMMIER from 6am to 12.30pm from Monday to Friday
Free time and full board in Collioure, you will benefit from the beach and outings in the afternoons
Accompanied by a guide, you can discover the historic places in the surroundings of Collioure
Accommodation in the facilities of the stadium of Collioure, common bedrooms and separated showers for girls and boys.


Some practical advice...
Bring a sleeping bag and a backpack. To do the restauration work in a safe way, bring garden gloves, sturdy and comfortable shoes and clothes that you do not mind to soil. Hiking boots are recommended for the excursions. And do not forget your swimsuit...

Some information about the Fort Dugommier of Collioure...
The fort Dugommier is situated on a strategic crest above the cities Collioure and Port-Vendres, its construction was concluded in 1840.
During the French-Spanish wars in the revolutionary era, this fort gave a dominant position to the combatants, filled with memories and stories, partially destroyed during WWII, it now needs to be restored.

The project of Marc-André from Figuères, well-known artist of Collioure, is to transform the fort into an artistic centre.

Price : 1500 euros for the month
