Being Au pair, what does that mean ? You are looking for a young au pair girl?
An au pair is a young woman or man from abroad between 18 and 30 years
who becomes member of a French family for a certain period of time.
The objective of these young people, who are by the majority girls, is to better their language skills and to discover a new culture.
In exchange of accommodation, food and pocket money (in Western European countries between 200 and 300 € per month), the young au pair engages in looking for the children and helping the family with simple domestic works (do the hoovering, to dust, to set the table and to empty the dishwasher...)
The au pair person normally pays the costs for the flight and the language courses.
This exchange which is enriching for the family as well as for the young au pair should give everybody concinnity and satisfaction.
Beyond the time which is reserved for the children and the family the young au pairs apply themselves to the learning of French.
ALFMED offers year-round programs which are adapted
to their rhythm and their "familiar obligations".

ALFMED tries in particular to allow the young au pairs to develop their skills network and to allow them to discover at best the French culture, its gastronomy, its heritage…
Total immersion, active pedagogy, exploration of the culture, arts and the gastronomy of France, discovery of the historic heritage of the region, these parts are all integrated in our instruction.
Directly from his/her arrival the young au pair is welcomed and integrated in already established groups and takes part in activities that are organised year-round for our students.
The programs contain 10 hours of course and activity per week, access to the Computer Language Lab and possibility to perform the TEF or the DELF. On demand we organise the instruction in first aid AFPS.
