> The ALFMED Academy offers its students a preparation assisted by a FLE teacher who gives the TEF exam. An intermediate level of French is required, as well as enrollment in the program for 130 hours minimum (or 8 intensive weeks).


Presenting the TEF

> The French Evaluation Test (Le test d’Evaluation de Francais or TEF) is designed to measure the French language level of people who don’t speak French as a native language. It evaluates comprehension competency and oral expression in the French language. It gives quantitative and qualitative appreciations of the linguistic level of the candidates with a detailed analyse and individualized results.

> Three obligatory tests :
- Written comprehension: 4 sections, 50 questions, 1 hour long
- Oral comprehension: 4 sections, 60 questions, 40 minutes long
- Vocabulary and structure: 4 sections, 40 questions, 30 minutes long

> 2 optional tests :
- Written expression: 2 sections, 1 hour long
- Oral expression: 2 sections, 35 minutes long

> Foreign citizens who would like to enrol in a French University are required to take the exam and obtain a minimum of level 5 in the written expression test.

> It is also the only test of French language skills that attests the level of the French language for emigration candidates for Canada. Those who must present both tests in completion ( obligatory and optional).
