Article 1 : Object
In compliance with this agreement, the ALFMED Academy organizes the program called: LEARNING OF FRENCH LANGUAGE, ONE MONTH “BUSINESS” COMBINATION PROGRAM. 
 

Article 2 : Nature and characteristics of the training action
The objective of the program is to teach student(s) the essential principles of written and oral expression that will permit them to evolve in complete autonomy in a French-speaking environment.
Its duration is fixed at 17 weeks, of which :
- 15 weeks of courses and practical learning at the rate of a minimum of 15 hours per week
- 2 weeks at the end of the stay reserved for a full-time internship at a company during which accommodation is provided.

Article 3 : Preliminary conditions and knowledge level required
The foreign student should be at least 18 at the planned initial date of the stay. In order to best keep up with the above-mentioned program and to obtain the qualification(s) it is aimed toward, the student is hereby informed that it is necessary to have, before the beginning of the training, the level of knowledge equivalent to a high school diploma.
No minimum level of French is required.

Article 4 : Organization of the program
The program takes place according to the dates scheduled in the Calendar of the year and chosen by the student.
It is organized for a group of a maximum of 12 student per class.
The general conditions in which the training is given are described in the program guide.
According to their level of French assessed through tests at the beginning of the stay, students will be in an appropriate courses in a class composed of students having the same level as themselves.
All hours of courses scheduled in the program are provided by the Academy.
In case of absence of a teacher or cancellation of courses for another reason, the courses in question will be postponed or substituted.
In case of absence of the student, the courses in question will neither be postponed nor substituted.
An Assiduity Certificate is issued to the trainee at the end of the training. 

Article 5 : Tuition
The overall cost of the training action amounts to 3.575 euros covered completely by the trainee and payable in advance prior to the planned initial date of the stay by bank card, remittance or check.

This cost includes : 
- registration
- administrative assistance for obtaining the visa and other formalities, in particular for the procedures regarding the accommodation 
- a minimum of 225 hours of courses and practical learning (extra hours upon request)
- transportation from airport-station on arrival and on departure
- transportation for the outings and the visits within the courses (in the city of Perpignan) 
- admission to monuments and sites visited within the courses (in the city of Perpignan)
- unlimited access to the Internet and to the educational resources of the school.
- teaching materials: course books, student binder, map of Perpignan, paper…
- 1 hour of additional courses per week called « Business French »
- assistance in finding the appropriate internship company in Perpignan and its environs
- round trip transportation to the place of the internship
- accommodation at the place of the internship

This cost does not include :
- traveling expenses to Perpignan 
- international travel insurance
- VISA expenses 
- social security expenses
- shared accommodation or individual apartment starting at only 300 euros per month (10 euros per day).
- electricity, water and heating bills of the lodging to be shared among all roommates
- household linen other than provided sheets
- personal expenses, food, laundry, private trips, etc.
- registration fees for admission to TEF, DELF or DALF examinations (if applicable)

Article 6 : Withdrawl period
Commencing with the date of acceptance of this agreement, the trainee can retract within a period of 7 days.
In this case, no money can be demanded from the student, apart from registration fees already paid that shall remain property of the Academy.
After that period, payments stipulated in the agreement are fully due to the ALFMED Academy.

Article 7 : Interruption of the stay
If, owing to duly recognized force majeure, the trainee is prevented from attending the courses, he or she can cancel the agreement. In this case, only expenses actually incurred are due pro rata temporis based on their value stipulated in the agreement.

Article 8 : Execution of the agreement
For the execution of this agreement, the parties choose their residence at their respective registered office and domicile.
In order to be effective, this agreement should be signed by the 2 parties prior to the planned initial date of the stay.
