> Meet the ambitious creator of ALFMED, Florence Delseny-Sobra. She obtained her Master’s degree in Economy at the Montpellier University and took up her international marketing consultant career where she has been working for the past 15 years. Born in Perpignan, Florence has been hosting foreign students in her family residence for quite a few years. Thanks to this experience, this has made English the second "Official language" of her home !

> The idea of creating the Academy arose when she realised that Perpignan was one of the best places for a foreigner to discover the diversity of France and to learn the language. Florence made a detailed survey of the motivation, needs and wishes of the foreign students present in Perpignan during the year in order to define precisely what the best combination between academic courses and extra-curricular activities was.

> From there on, she managed to find competent and experienced staff and qualified FLE teachers, a wonderful location in the historical center, all this allowing her to develop some unique programs. Florence's experience and well known knowledge of her own region helped a lot.

> Florence's objective is to insure a high level of education and a total immersion for the students while discovering all the treasures of the Catalan region and the French culture. This is how the Academie de Langues France Méditerranée started up !!!
